New Puppy!

Look what Santa brought...

A little baby for us to love! His name is Mistletoe..."Mistle" for short, or as CJ calls him "Nissle".

He is a Great Dane & will soon be too much for CJ to handle! She will be able to ride him like a horse!

Camping in Chattanooga, TN!

This was the COLDEST I have ever been! Living for 4 days in a tent, Thanksgiving week-end, in the mountains of Tennessee! We did have a great time...but like I said...COLD!

We stayed on Raccoon Mountain! They have caves & go carts that we visited as well! We went downtown to do a little site seeing...we visited the "Chatanooga Choo Choo" of course! Found a letterbox there. Then went to eat at a diner that had cakes 12 inches tall!

We will definately come back again!

THE WIZARD OF OZ!

The time has FINALLY arrived for the ECCC production of The Wizard of OZ! Everyone has worked so hard & we know that everything will go GREAT!

Such a great cast & crew!

Mom & Dad made it down to see Chandler & Caitey Jane do their thing!

VACATION!

FINALLY!!!!

It has arrived! V-A-C-A-T-I-O-N!

We are headed to Hilton Head Island, SC for a whole week! We have a LOT of plans to layout by the pool & beach, ride bicycles, hunt letterboxes...the list goes on & on...

WIZARD OF OZ AUDITIONS!

Today Chandler had his callback Audition for The Wizard of Oz. He is SOOOOOOO excited!

The first auditions were last night & he earned a callback for further choreography & singing...

Out of about 40 kids under 10 Chandler was picked with a group of 5 other kids to play a munchkin in the "Lollipop Guild"... He was so excited! When we went to eat to celebrate with Nana & Papa he leaned over to me and said "Mommy, I feel like I'm dreaming!" I asked, "Why, because you got your part?" and he said, "Yes!" It was so cute!

We will keep you updated on the progress of the show & invite EVERYONE to come see it September 10-12th!

BOMERANG EXPRESS!

This week we have been going to our church's VBS..."Boomerang Express"! The kids are enjoying it very much & all of us that are working with VBS have had a GREAT time fellowshipping...(is that a word?) We have all enjoyed the time we have had together this week & can't wait until next year!

VBS @ POPLAR SPRINGS CHURCH

The kids had a wonderful time at "Studio GO Game Show" VBS this week. It was held at Poplar Springs North Baptist Church in Dudley, GA. It was GREAT for them to be able to go & learn more about GOD & have fun with other kids while doing it!

HAVING FUN LETTERBOXING!

We have just started Letterboxing! It has been a BLAST!

It is a GREAT family activity & the kids especially LOVE it! It's like a scavenger & treasure hunt put together! I encourage everyone to check it out! We are planning to hunt/find several when we go to the beach next month! We can't wait!

CHANDLER GRADUATES FROM KINDERGARTEN!

Today Chandler graduated from Kindergarten! They had a nice end of the year program where they sang, read poems, & did a skit...

At the end we watched a very cute DVD (that we all got a copy of!) showing pictures of the kids throughout the year! It was so fun to see how much they had all changed this year!

Then it was time for diplomas & memory books. Chandler also recieved a Certificate of Achievment (The M&M Award) for being the most Math Minded student! He's are little smarty pants!

FUN DAY AT THE POOL!

This past Sunday we had a GREAT time with the kids at the pool! Ash, Chandler, CJ, & I went for a late breakfast & then headed for the Holly Hills pool! By the time we left for breakfast...about 11:15am...it was already 93 degrees! So, after breakfast we went home to change into our bathing suits then headed for the pool! There were a few people already there when we got there & I made sure to slather the kids with sunscreen & myself...Ash did NOT request any & now looks like a LOBSTER! I covered myself & I still got burt! Luckily, the kids didn't get any...Chandler had on a swimming shirt & so all he got was a little red on the sides of his head...not bad...& CJ got a little on her back but neither have complained! Other than that we had a good time playing catch in the pool & out...We really had some good family time...It was just a FUN time! We hope to do it again soon...

WEDDING FLOWERS!

Well Saturday was the BIG day for the wedding! The flowers were delievered Thursday afternoon...after a few set backs they all FINALLY arrived! Thursday night I prepped all the flowers...cutting tips of stems, putting them in buckets of ice water, etc... The last group of flowers I did were the large roses, we ordered 1/2 Bi-Colored Yellow with Red tips (50) & 1/2 "Hot Orange", a coral color (50)...well when I got to that box of roses...ALL WE GOT WERE 100 Yellow & Red! NO Hot Orange! So, we try calling the flower company & they are already closed!

So, I finish prepping & put all the flowers in my "refrigerated" bathroom! It's called turning the air down to 60 degrees & putting a fan in there with flowers in buckets of ice water...It gets REALLY cold!

And then Friday night after I got off work I got to work on arranging the flowers for the wedding...

It was a LARGE wedding so I had a lot of stuff to do so, luckily, Vicki could come and help me for a little while before she had to go home...With her help we finished all the 19 boutonnieres & 11 corsages! Then I was left on my own to do the 12 bouquets & arrangments...

It was a LONG night but everything got finished & (if I do say so myself) they were BEAUTIFUL! The bride (Jenny Price) LOVED everything! Then entire wedding was BEAUTIFUL!

MEMORIAL DAY AT LAKE SINCLAIR!

Yesterday we had a GREAT time with the Asbell family at Lake Sinclair!

The kids had loads of fun swimming & playing with cousins!

We had a nice cookout & enjoyed all the company! Uncle Steve grilled steaks & Earl grilled chickens & sausages, we also had baked potatoes, baked sweet

potatoes, baked beans, potato salad, 3 other types of salads,

(are you hungry yet?)

not to mention all the desserts...

The kids all swam & Uncle Jon pulled them in tubes on the JetSki! They DID NOT want to leave! We promised that we would come again & stay for the weekend soon!

CHELSEA'S GRADUATION!

Sunday we had a busy day! We went to church & then we hurried to get to Soperton for a graduation party for Chelsea Garner (cousin). Vicki & I made truffles for the party! Everyone had a great time! Then it was time for the Graduation!

A storm was rolling in so the ceremony was moved to the gymnasium...IT WAS SO HOT!

We made it inside just in the nick of time! The bottom fell out when we got in! We got a cool breeze every now & then, & they had huge fans down on the floor, but we were quite miserable!

But is was worth it to see Chelsea graduate & give her valedictorian speech! YEAH!

We all had a GREAT day with our family!

BOY SCOUT REGISTRATION!

Last night we registered Chandler for Boy Scouts!

He is SOOOOOooo excited!

There was a GREAT turn out last night. I think this will be a wonderful opportunity for him to grow & learn!

Since Ash was an Eagle Scout, he will have LOTS of pointers to give through the years!

FLC END OF YEAR PROGRAM

Last night was the FLC End of Year Program! We all enjoyed watching the kids show their many talents they had practiced for weeks...

Caitey Jane has been in Ms. Angela & Ms. Leigh's 3 year old class this year & has LOVED every minute! She will be moving onto the 4 year old class next year. She will have a rude awakening when she realizes we signed her up for everyday of the week for school! This year she just went 3 days!

They all had a GREAT time & got to have cake to celebrate afterwards! That was what they were really excited about!

READY FOR THE WEEKEND!

We are SOOOOOOOOOoooooo ready for the weekend! This has been a LONG week! I'm hoping to make an attempt at getting my house in order (since we have been so busy this week!) & spend some time with the family! Chandler has been begging to practice his baseball (hitting & fielding) & they LOVE riding their bikes. We may possible get to go to the pool Saturday or Sunday...maybe not Sunday if it rains like it says it's going to!


I've got a meeting with Jennie Price Saturday afternoon, I am doing the flowers for her wedding (May 30th)...we are meeting at the church to see what all we need for decorating, etc...
I can't wait for the wedding! It's gonna be so pretty!


Then we will be going to Sunday School & Church on Sunday (of course)...then who knows! Nap & Pool if it's NOT raining!

Then back to work on Monday...

POOL TIME!

Our 1st trip of the year to the Holly Hills Community Pool was yesterday! The kids had an AWESOME time!

They had the pool to themselves for about an hour then some big boys (High School) came for a swim...Chandler LOVED it because they played catch with him...

I did NOT go swimming! The water felt like ICE...well maybe not that bad...but TOO cold for me! I just layed in the sun & read my book & watched the kids play! We had a GREAT time!

MIKEY ON LOCK-DOWN!

12 days ago (4/30/09) our cat Michaelangelo, named for the Ninja Turtle (NOT the artist!), lovingly referred to as "Mikey" was roaming the neighborhood as usual...a neighbor knelt to pet him which he LOVES! Then when he stood to leave Mikey bit him in the calf! This man calls me at work to inform me of the incident that had taken place! I gave my sincerest appologies...he said it was ok, that he may have even stepped on Mikey's tail!

ANYWAY, fast forward to Friday (5/8/09), Ash calls me to say that Animal Control has come to the house to put Mikey on House Arrest until today (5/12/09) to guarantee that he infact does NOT have rabies...He informed Ash that rabies will kill an animal within 10 days & he would be our insurance policy that would prove he is healthy & we would not have to pay $20,000.00 for rabies treatments for the "victim"!

As of 7:45am this morning, Mikey is still living! NOT the happiest cat in the world, but ALIVE!

This is his LAST day of incarceration & he is ready to get out of the house!

I haven't told him this but I am planning to take him to get fixed in the next week or two! That will really make his day!

EMERGENCY!!!

Today we had ANOTHER emergency!

Friday, I got a call from school saying that Chandler had run into an air conditioner on the playground at school & split his head open! YUCK! I went to pick him up & let Dr. Bedingfield stitch him up!

TODAY! Ash calls me to say that he has cut his thumb almost in half with a knife at work! Again, Dr. Bedingfield stitched us up!

GO ROCKIES!

This year Chandler Perry has been playing Baseball for the first time without using a T! He has done AWESOME! He is a GREAT switch hitter! And is definately a natural Baseball player! I truely wish his Great Papa Perry would have been able to see him play! He would have LOVED it! But I know in my heart that he has been with him @ EVERY game cheering him on!

This is new to me! Never been a "blogger" before! Thought I would try it out...

It is almost time for school to be out & that means fun, fun, fun! Days at the pool, swimming lessons, vacation at the beach, Plug-In Swimming parties every Wednesday night, VBS...LOTS & LOTS of FUN stuff for the kids & us to do as a family!
